Invoice for half hours and minutes
Invoicing
1 min
Uppdaterad 26 mars 2026
You do not need to round to whole hours when invoicing. The quantity field on invoice rows supports decimals, so you can invoice for exactly the time you worked.
How do I do it?
Enter the quantity with decimals in the "Quantity" field when you create an invoice row. The total is calculated automatically.
Common examples
- 0.5 hours for a half-hour meeting
- 1.75 hours for a one hour and 45 minute assignment
- 2.25 hours for a two hour and fifteen minute session
Converting minutes to decimals
| Minutes | Decimal |
|---|---|
| 15 min | 0.25 |
| 30 min | 0.5 |
| 45 min | 0.75 |
If you worked 2 hours and 15 minutes, enter 2.25 in the quantity field.
Decimals on unit price
You can also enter the unit price with decimals. This is useful for converted currencies or agreed prices that are not round numbers.
